A piper can be a wonderfully memorable addition to your special day, adding considerable pomp and ceremony to the day's proceedings. Your guests will not soon forget enchanting skirl of the pipes and the lilt of the kilt as your piper leads the bride down the aisle and leads the newly-wed couple up the aisle and out of the chapel. The bagpipes are appropriate both indoors and outside, but they can be of particular use for outdoor ceremonies as they are often the only musical instrument that can be heard without amplification.

Ryan offers four different options for weddings:

Option 1: Prelude music Playing 20 to 30 minutes outside the chapel prior to the ceremony as guests arrive Option 2: Processional music Leading the bride down the aisle to the altar Option 3: Recessional music Leading the bride and groom up the aisle from the altar and out of the chapel Option 4: Postlude music Playing 20 to 30 minutes outside the chapel following to the ceremony as guests depart

NOTE: For Prelude and Postlude music your piper will often play appropriate tunes from his repertoire. Feel free to make suggestions if there are any tunes in particular you wish to be included. For a list of selections that Ryan plays, please click here.

With well over a decade of experience as a wedding professional, Ryan recognizes that the requirements and tastes of each client is distinct and unique. He therefore offers four different wedding packages to meet the specific needs of each client:

The Bronze Wedding Package: $275 Includes any one (1) of the above options The Silver Wedding Package: $300 Includes any two (2) of the above options The Gold Wedding Package: $325 Includes any three (3) of the above options The Platinum Wedding Package: $350 Includes all four (4) of the above options

Package Upgrades. Ryan also offers the following additional upgrades to the above Packages:

Welcoming Guests to the Reception: $50 Playing 20 to 30 minutes as guests arrive at the reception Welcoming the Couple to the Reception: $50 Leading the couple into the reception hall upon their arrival Attending the Rehearsal: $50 For those who require extra assurance that their special day goes exactly as planned, Ryan can be available to attend the rehearsal. (Mileage charges may apply for rehearsals outside of Birmingham.) Wedding Photos: No Additional Charge If you want wedding photos with Ryan before or after the ceremony, please let him know. He will be more than happy to accommodate.

Additional Services. Aside from the services listed above, Ryan strives to honor any and every special request. Each event is unique, and the Wedding Packages are highly customizable. If there is an additional service you require, please let Ryan know. As a wedding professional, he is dedicated to the complete satisfaction of all of his clients.

Commemorative Tune. Pipers for centuries have composed commemorative tunes to memorialize a special event. For just $150 you can go the extra mile and show the one you love just how important they are. Have Ryan compose an original tune to celebrate your special occasion. Each commemorative tune will be accompanied with an MP3 recording and a high-resolution image of the sheetmusic. A high-quality hard copy of the sheetmusic can be made available for framing. Mileage Fees. For all bookings outside of the Birmingham city limits a mileage fee of $.55 per mile roundtrip will be added to the final quote.

Out-of-state Bookings. Ryan will travel throughout the region. For distances over 350 miles lodging and accommodations must be provided by the client.
