Piper's Corner...
Hello and welcome to the Piper's Corner! This page is primarily intended to attract pipers, bagpipe students, and piping enthusiasts. Here visitors will hopefully find various items of interest pertaining to the pipes, from topical discussions, to articles, to sheetmusic. I will be developing the page in an ongoing effort to bring something interesting and different to the greater piping community. Ultimately I will plan on including the following features:
- PIOBCASTs: Short 5-10 minute bagpipe webcasts available for download
- Sheetmusic Archive: An archive of bagpipe tunes that I have arranged over the years for the pipes with a focus on sharing tunes playable in traditional Celtic music sessions
- Articles: Piping-related articles on topics I have discussed with students and fellow bandmates

World Pipe Band Championships 2010...

CONGRATS TO SLOTPB!!!!!!
Most of you know that the World Pipe Band Championships take place every year in Glasgow, Scotland. This year they were held on Saturday August 14th and for the second year in a row they were streamed live on the Internet.
Before I move on, I am absolutely thrilled to congratulate the St. Laurence O'Toole Pipe Band for being the FIRST pipe band from the Republic of Ireland to have been crowned World Champions! Fair play lads!
The WPBC always introduce new music to pipers of the world. As per usual, I spend much of the days after the event listening to the various medleys over and over and learning the tunes that I enjoyed. I thought as the first addition to the Piper's Corner I would like share the sheetmusic for of few of these tunes.
Please bear in mind, I have transcribed the tunes by ear from the WPBC website. These settings are for all intents and purposes my own individual settings. They are NOT the original settings of these tunes as published by the band.
