Compose A Tune...
For just $150 you can commission Ryan to compose an original commemorative tune to eternalize your special moment.
For centuries, pipers have been composing tunes to memorialize a particular person or place, or to commemorate a specific event. In Scotland, hereditary pipers came to prominence in the Victorian era, and many clan chieftains employed their own pipers. The compositions of these pipers serve as a virtual biography of the lives of the clan chieftains, highlighting important events in the history of a particular clan or family, even of Scotland herself.
This invaluable art endures through Ryan's compositions, bringing the time-honored Celtic tradition of musical memorials into the 21st century. Ryan has been composing music for the bagpipes since he was a student, and his compositions have even attracted the attention of other pipers and composers in the United States, Canada, and even Scotland.
Memorial tunes are appropriate for any event, and, like all of Ryan's tunes, the composition will be completely original. Each memorial tune will be accompanied with an MP3 recording of Ryan performing the tune and a high-resolution image of the sheetmusic. A high-quality hard copy of the sheetmusic can be made available for framing.
Praise for a Commemorative Tune: I just wanted to tell you how much I like the song you've written for the wedding. It's perfect! I love the playfulness of it -- it's just a happy song. I can't wait to walk down the aisle to your piping. Thank you for allowing us to name the song and for writing something so special for us. I truly love it.
